Strength in the Storm: navigating Grief & Trauma
just do the next thing
just do the next thing
just do the next thing
After walking through what feels like a lifetime of grief—losing my husband and facing the heartbreaking loss of my daughter—I found myself asking God, "What now?" And, being completely honest, I quickly followed that with, "And please, Lord, don’t let all this suffering be for nothing!"
God, in His wisdom, pointed me to the story of Joseph. Here was a man who endured betrayal, injustice, and hardship, yet through it all, God’s sovereignty, provision, and perfect timing were undeniable. Joseph’s journey wasn’t just about survival—it was about purpose. And as I studied his story, I realized the same was true for me and for anyone facing deep loss.
That realization led to the creation of Network214. The 214 represents storehouse in the Bible—a place of preparation and provision. Over the years, God has filled my personal “storehouse” with experiences, wisdom, and resources, not just for me, but to share with others walking through grief and trauma.
Network214 is all about connection—linking people to the support they need, offering encouragement, and yes, even finding moments of laughter along the way. Because while grief is part of life, so is healing, hope, and community. And if Joseph’s story teaches us anything, it’s that God always has a plan—even when we can’t see it yet.
